One can't help but notice the similarities between Los Angles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and golfing superstar Tiger Woods in his prime.
Many consider Bryant to be the best basketball player on earth since Michael Jordan, and one look at his impressive resume really goes a long way in backing that statement up.
He has career averages of 25.3 points, 4.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game, but those only go so far in explaining Kobe.
He's known as one of the most clutch people on the planet and can literally take over and win a game all by himself.
If that's not enough, the five NBA championships, 13 All-Star selections, eight first-team All-NBA selections or two scoring titles should do the trick.
There was a point in time where Woods was considered the best ever at his respective sport as well, only behind golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.

He's racked up an astonishing 14 majors wins as a professional, which includes three U.S. Opens, three British Opens, four PGA's and four Masters.
There was no doubting that Woods was the best golfer in the world, and he displayed many of the same qualities as Kobe. He was clutch, and he was absolutely ruthless on the course, but then it all came crumbling down.
Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren divorced in 2010 because of a sex scandal that linked Woods to multiple mistresses, forced him to withdraw from the golfing world, checked in to sex rehab, lost sponsors, and effectively derailed his career.
Yes, he eventually came back, but it seemed like all of the distractions, plus a few injuries really changed the golfer many thought was indestructible.
Is Kobe Bryant about to head down the same path?
Kobe's wife, Vanessa Bryant, has reportedly filed for a divorce after being married to Kobe since 2001.
Kobe came under fire with a rape charge in 2003 that was eventually dropped, but it seemed like both his relationship and career moved on.
Until now, the pair had stayed together, and Bryant went on to win two NBA championships in 2009 and 2010.

Those who are wondering if this divorce will affect Kobe in the same way Wood's marital problems impacted his career need not worry.
One, these are two completely different situations, as the Tiger scandal was obviously much bigger, and two, there is one difference between the Tiger and Kobe situation.
Woods wasn't able to handle the pressure of the scandal, and to be honest, I don't know anybody that could.

Bryant on the other-hand is a rare type of person. He deals with adversity and struggles a lot differently than most of us do.
Instead of crumbling, he seems to internalize it and use it as motivation to get better. The basketball court is his sanctuary, and he vents out all of his frustrations on the rim and his opponents.
Personally, this may be a very hard time for Kobe Bryant, but I don't see it impacting his game at all.
In fact, he's probably just going to get better.
