Two former UNC targets in the 2012 class have dropped the Tar Heels from their prospective schools of interest.
The first of whom is No. 5 overall-ranked prospect T.J. Warren, a 6'7", 200-pound power forward who is set to decide next week on where he'll be committing.
Previously, his final schools were Georgetown, N.C. State and North Carolina. But just recently Warren announced an updated list of his finalists.
"Georgetown and N.C. State," Warren said after he was asked who he would be deciding between.
Warren is the son of former N.C. State player Tony Warren and is one of the more elite scorers in the 2012 class. He is the kind of player who will make an immediate impact at wherever he chooses, be it Georgetown or N.C. State.
The second prospect who's is choosing elsewhere is Rosco Allen. Allen, the 17th-ranked PF in the class who's known for his outside shooting, is also set to announce his decision next week.
Although he isn't on record saying UNC is no longer on his target list, he did cancel his upcoming visit to UNC this weekend. Take from that what you will.
The schools Allen still has listed and has recently visited are Oregon, Stanford and UNLV.
Both Warren and Allen were two of the final four UNC targets who were offered scholarships. The other two are Mitch McGary and Kaleb Tarczewski, but Tarczewski will be deciding between Arizona or Kansas.
