The Oklahoma Sooners have a very impressive and talented team. They have jumped out to a 4-0 start with wins over the Florida State Seminoles and Missouri. But those two wins are the only impressive wins of the season for the team that is ranked No.1 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The LSU Tigers are currently 5-0 and have beaten three ranked teams including Oregon, Mississippi State and West Virginia. Did I mention that all three of those wins came on the road? LSU is the No.1 team in the AP Top 25 Poll but is No.2 in the Coaches Poll for whatever reason.
The Alabama Crimson Tide have also beaten three ranked teams in the Penn State Nittany Lions, Arkansas and Florida. Both the Penn State victory and last weeks victory over Florida came on the road.
Both LSU and Alabama are correctly ranked in the AP Poll and that is both teams ranked higher than Oklahoma. Although in the Coaches Poll Oklahoma is still ranked No.1. It doesn't makes sense to me either.
The rankings should reward the teams that prove themselves the most, not who has the most potential.
