Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 5: Kendall Hunter and the 5 Best Bye Week Subs

Five teams, most notably for fantasy owners the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens, have their bye in Week 5.

Time to find those waiver wire replacements.

I'll list off the player you most likely have that will rest this week (three instantly come to mind) and the options you have as replacements.

Ray Rice Owners

Taiwan Jones

It's possible that Michael Bush will be held out of the Raiders Week 5 game against the Texans, and it's likely he'll at least be limited with an ankle injury.

Enter speedster Taiwan Jones.

Darren McFadden will obviously get the bulk of the carries, but Jones will be a good change of pace for their offense and could get more touches than you'd expect, especially on screen plays out of the backfield.

A little risky.

Kendall Hunter

Frank Gore was back to his usual self in the second half against the Eagles in Week 4, but it should be noted that Hunter received nine carries and gained a respectable 38 yards.

He also caught two passes for 62 yards.

Now that he's proven himself somewhat, the 49ers coaching staff may give the versatile Hunter more opportunities because they don't want to run Gore into the ground.

In deeper PPR leagues, pick him up.

Dez Bryant Owners

Jacoby Jones

With Andre Johnson out, Jones becomes Houston's No. 1 receiving target.

He has been inconsistent in his career, but does have the ability to make some huge plays within the Texans offense.

Eric Decker

This is the third week I've included Decker in a "must-add" list, and with good reason.

He's owned in only 25 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Come on guys.

Decker has 37 targets, is the go-to-guy in the red zone and has four touchdowns this year.

Go to your waiver wire right now and add Decker.

Thank me later.

Tony Romo Owners

Matt Hasselbeck

Is there any doubt with this one?

Hasselbeck has been a Godsend for the Titans this season and has, dare I say, turned them into a pass-first team.

Chris Johnson finally broke out last week, but expect Hasselbeck to continue to use all of his receivers and tight ends and accumulate a lot of yardage.

Don't worry, the Steelers defense has proven to be not nearly as scary as it has been in recent years.

Grab him.
