World Football: Counting Down the 5 Best Players of the Weekend

It’s Monday and that can only mean one thing—time to count down the top five players of the world football weekend.

We start in the MLS, with plaudits for New York’s adopted Frenchman Thierry Henry and his latest turn for the Red Bulls.

Next up is the familiar ponytail of AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Japanese star Shinji Kagawa getting a deserved place in the top five after more heroics in Germany.

The top two are both Frenchmen, with one playing in Spain and the other in England. See if you can guess who they might be…
