Quarterbacks may be all the rage in fantasy football this season, but having a superstar running back on your team is still a rare and valuable commodity. Matt Forte, Arian Foster and Beanie Wells were a few running backs that carved up the opposition last week for monster games.
Here are three star running backs who will shine in Week 5.
Ahmad Bradshaw
Brandon Jacobs is doubtful, according to Yahoo!. That means an increased workload for Ahmad Bradshaw and ultimately more points for Bradshaw owners. Bradshaw is taking on a Seahawks team that allows 105 YPG on the ground.
Bradshaw has had a forgettable season thus far, but with the Giants surging and Jacobs going down, Bradshaw has a chance to put forth a huge game against a lackluster team at home.
Fred Jackson
The Eagles allowed Frank Gore to run wild last week and regressed to the third worst team in the league against the run. Fred Jackson's rushing title is slipping away, but he has a chance to gain some ground on Darren McFadden with a big game this week.
The Eagles are soft. Jackson and the Bills have an explosive offense that can score a ton of points in a hurry. Rather than air it out with Fitzpatrick against the Eagles secondary and running away from Jason Babin—who has seven sacks this season—the Bills are going to pound the rock early and often.
LeSean McCoy had 18 yards rushing last week. The 49ers shut him down, but we shouldn't expect to see that this week against the Bills. This is a must-win game for the Eagles, and if they have any shot at turning this season around, McCoy is going to need to show up.
The Bills give up just shy of 130 yards a game, and you can expect McCoy to bounce back this week after being MIA last week. The Bills give up points and aren't going to make it hard on the Eagles offense, even if Buffalo is able to come away with a victory.
