As Week 5 in the NFL is upon us, fantasy owners should have an idea of where they stand among the rest in their leagues, and must sit-and-start the right players at the right time to keep their hopes of winning their league alive.
Here are Ben Roethlisberger and three other normally reliable starters owners must sit in Week 5 if they want to keep up with the rest of the pack in their leagues.
Rashard Mendenhall
The Pittsburgh Steeler's running back Rashard Mendenhall is questionable for the Steeler's Week 5 match up with the Tennessee Titans with an injured hamstring, and is a must sit player this week.
The Steeler's offensive line is weak this year, and Mendenhall will have to work that much harder to get off any runs of meaningful yards.
Look for the Steelers to use back up Isaac Redman as their featured back Sunday if Mendenhall struggles early on.
Jay Cutler
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has had a rough 2011 season thus far, and he will be the target of the Detroit Lions defense in their Week 5 match up.
Lions defensive tackle Ndamunkong Suh said Cutler will be the target for repeated hits, that he hopes, and will, take Cutler out of the game, making it a long day for the Cutler and the Bears.
Ben Roethlisberger
Ben Roethlisberger will be less than 100 percent in Week 5 with an injured left foot, and fantasy owners who have Big Ben on their team would be smart to bench the star quarterback this week.
Again with the Steeler's offensive line having it's struggles this season, Roethlisberger will be a liability as he is going to be less mobile than usual with his foot injury.
Look for the Tennessee Titans to rush Roethlisberger early and often, creating the chance that Big Ben could injure his foot further and not make it through the entire game.
