I am sure that all of you must be sick of all the boring NFL lockout news, so here's something that will keep your mind off it: James Harrison is a possible guest for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's wedding, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.
You may wonder, how in the world would Roethlisberger want Harrison to attend his wedding after all of the criticism Harrison lashed out towards Big Ben and many other NFL players in his recent interview with Men's Journal.
Harrison made it clear in his interview that he was not impressed with Roethlisberger's performance in the team's loss in Super Bowl XLV.
"Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again. Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain't that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does."
It will certainly be an awkward handshake when Roethlisberger greets Harrison at his wedding this Saturday in Ohio Township, PA—despite Harrison reportedly calling Roethlisberger to inform him of the article and that it was "taken out of context."
Apart from Roethlisberger, there were many other people slammed by Harrison's obscene comments including NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, former New England Patriots players Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison, and Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing.
Harrison may be invited to Roethlisberger's wedding, but I'm sure that Goodell or Bruschi will not be sending out any invites to Harrison for any potential birthday parties.
