Manchester City completed the signing of their second Arsenal player in the pre-season transfer window, signing French attacking midfielder Samir Nasri. He proved to be the third major loss for Arsenal within weeks, with Gael Clichy and Cesc Fabregas also leaving the club.
If the fact that Arsenal lost their first choice left back, one of their best players, and their captain wasn't enough to deal with, Samir Nasri has come out and attacked the passion of Arsenal fans.
In an interview with Manchester City TV (see above), Nasri claimed that the Manchester City fans are extremely passionate, going on to say that Arsenal's fans were not as passionate.
Samir Nasri's comments will surely cause a stir at the Emirates, where he was representing Arsenal in the English Premier League just last week. For a club that gave Nasri so much, it was surprising to see such comments made. It was as if he wasn't ever happy at Arsenal.
Regardless of the comments, one thing is for certain, Arsenal will need to make some signings before the conclusion of the transfer window. If not Arsene Wenger will have a huge task trying to keep Arsenal competitive with the top four of the league.
In fact they may just end up fighting for a position mid league. With just one point from a possible six thus far, Arsenal are in a dire situation.
If everything goes according to plan, Samir Nasri will debut for City this weekend against Tottenham.
