Packers vs. Lions: Aaron Rodgers Will Blow Matthew Stafford Away in a Shootout

Many believe that Matthew Stafford and the feisty Lions are going to feed Aaron Rodgers' Packers a loss on Thanksgiving.

The Lions have no shot in this one, though, and a seemingly close game is going to get out of hand in a hurry.

The Packers are in a class of their own offensively. Their 35.5 PPG leads the league, and Rodgers is running away with the MVP.

Anything can happen in a division rivalry, but the Lions are not the same team that came roaring out of the gate to start the season. Their 5-0 start is a distant memory, and losing three of their last five games is a huge cause for concern heading into this game.

These two teams hate each other, but hate alone is not going to be able to catalyze this upset.

Stafford gets to face the 31st-ranked pass defense in the league, but he has six picks in his last two games and has to face a Green Bay secondary that is leading the league with 19 interceptions.

Dom Capers' defense may be surrendering yards through the air, but capitalizing on the mistakes Stafford is bound to make again this week will give Rodgers even more opportunities to score.

He's got four picks on the entire season, and suggesting that he's going to be rattled by the relentless Lions' pass-rush is absurd.

This is bound to be a high-scoring affair, but there is no way that Stafford and the Lions are going to be able to torch the Packers and hand them their first loss when they've struggled so mightily in recent weeks.
