Andrew Luck: Will He Land the Heisman Trophy in 2011?
In my mind, the race for the Heisman Trophy in 2011 is going to come down to Stanford's Andrew Luck and Oregon's LaMichael James.
Both Luck and James were among the four finalists for the award this season.
The question is, who will win it in 2011?
As great as Luck is, I'm leaning toward James, who was widely considered the No. 2 pick behind Auburn's Cameron Newton this year.
Luck probably should deserve the award if he plays like he did this season. But I don't see the Cardinal being as good. 2010 was an historic year for the program, and coach Jim Harbaugh is exploring his options at the NFL level and very well could not return to the Cardinal next season.
James might even see an increase in carries and opportunities in 2011, and appears motivated as ever.
It's going to be a close race, but I see James winning the Heisman based on having a better team next year.
