The club has been pursuing multiple strikers, and with Chelsea eager to land someone of consequence, it's not hard to see how Los Blancos were beaten to the punch.

Los Blancos have brought in a plethora of young, promising talent, and when you combine that with the side's talented veteran players, you have a dangerous combination for the rest of the world's top sides.
Real Madrid does not need Lukaku to be a world force.
