Montana Opened LLWS With Victory Over South Dakota
Montana knocked off South Dakota in a come from behind victory to claim their first victory at the LLWS, but that success is bound to be short-lived. This team is set to face Louisiana in their next game, who defeated Georgia 2-0 in their first game.
Georgia was considered by many to be one of the favorites entering the tournament so the victory by Louisiana was quite impressive.
Louisiana also knocked off a talented Texas team just to qualify for the LLWS. They trailed by three runs entering the final inning and rallied to tie the game with a three-run home run and then finished the comeback off in the bottom of the seventh to win the game and advance to Williamsport.
This team has excellent pitching and they can really hit the ball. Montana will certainly find themselves in trouble when they face Louisiana.
Montana's run has been quite impressive and is a run this team should certainly be proud of, however, all good things have to come to an end at some point and unfortunately for Montana, it won't end with a trip to the LLWS Championship game.
