Fantasy Football Rankings 2011: Eagles QB Michael Vick Worrying Some Drafters?

The 2011 NFL preseason has been an eventful one for Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.

They transformed their roster through free agency, and expectations have never been higher in that city for a Super Bowl appearance (and win). The "Dream Team" slogan caught on like wild fire.

Vick is now at the helm of that team. And the Eagles just paid him $100 million over six years (a phony sixth year and final $20 million, if you read the fine print) to lead that Andy Reid's football team to the peak of the football world.

So far this preseason, things haven't always went according to plan.

Vick and the Eagles looked lost in a Week 2 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a game where Vick threw three first half interceptions. The offense got off to a similarly slow start against the Browns too before rallying for a couple of scores.

Overall, some of those performances has begun to worry some drafters about Vick's upcoming season.

Is he going to regress into the kind of passer he was in Atlanta? Can he stay healthy over the course of 16 games? Those are both viable questions to ask when deciding whether or not to draft Vick.

I don't think he's going to revert back to the Falcons' version of Vick, but he has shown some of those tendencies this preseason. And injuries are impossible to predict, even if Vick does throw his body around more than any NFL quarterback in the game today.

In the end, you have to weight the risk vs. reward with Vick. The upside is there, but picking him has the potential to backfire as well.
