The New England Patriots look great again. Get used to it fans, because Tom Brady and the boys looked as good as they ever have offensively Monday night in their 38-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. While there are still things that need to be fixed defensively, Brady and his offensive teammates look like they're set to put up boatloads of points this season.
Brady lit up the Dolphins all night, as he completed 32-of-48 passes for 517 yards, with four touchdowns and an interception. He led an offense that put up 622 total yards and looked utterly unstoppable. Brady's 99-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker got the majority of the headlines on the night, but tight end Aaron Hernandez also had a stellar game, finishing with seven catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Yes, the Patriots do have work to do defensively, as they allowed Chad Henne to throw for a ridiculous 416 yards. I call that total ridiculous because Henne should never throw for that much no matter who he is facing—and especially not against a defense that has the talent New England's has.
The Patriots have to clean a lot of things up defensively, but if they keep rolling the way they are offensively, they could stay atop the power rankings all season. Brady's offense just looks absolutely scary right now and is the reason I have the Patriots edging the Packers at the top of my list.
