Auburn Tigers beat the Oregon Ducks yesterday in a thrilling national championship game that was a battle of two of the top offenses in the entire country.
In the end, it came down to a field goal as time expires, and now the Tigers have to find out who will be back and who will head to the NFL for the draft. Defensive lineman Nick Fairley will likely head to the draft and things are still up in the air on Heisman winner Cam Newton, who had a shaky game last night.
"Anything is possible," Newton said. "I guarantee, five or six months ago, that no one would bet their last dollar that Auburn would win the national championship. And now we're standing here."
If Newton returns, there's no telling what the quarterback and the Tigers can do with another full season in front of them. All I know is I wouldn't want to be a team that's on their schedule.
