Alabama Football: Who Would You Like to See Alabama Play in the Future?

One thing about Nick Saban, he likes to have some good competition to start the season and he sin't shy and taking on top 10 ranked opponents.

Saban believes it helps his teams later in the season to be prepared for such contests.

Alabama fans were glad to see the rivalry renewed with Penn State in this recent series and now the question is who would you like to see Alabama schedule games with in the future?

Alabama had a one time rivalry series with USC, and with Lane Kiffin in charge now, nothing would make Bama fans happier than to go out West and kick butt and take names. I think most in the SEC and everyone in Tennessee would be an Alabama fan that weekend.

Why not give Boise State their wish of getting to play a meaningful regular season game against top talent? Shutting them up early would eliminate any of that BCS Buster talk for at least the rest of the year.

Speaking of shutting up a fan base, it would be interesting to see an Alabama-Ohio State season opener. Joe Paterno certainly had the guts to schedule Alabama, would Ohio Sttate's new coach consider it?

But getting back to teams that have a history with the Tide, why not Georgia Tech? The two used to play each other all the time until the "incident" that caused not only the rivalry to be canceled, but Tech to leave the SEC.

They have played home and away series since then however and it would be great to see this rivalry renewed.

Miami is another team that has beaten Alabama to win a national champion and lost to Alabama to lose a national championship. That would be a team that could spark up old memories and generate a lot of fan interest, not just for the two teams, but for the nation.

Why not schedule Texas Tech and let Tommy Tuberville have another go at Alabama? He likes to brag about his winning record over the school and the Bama fans would love to work on that.

But lastly, no team has more of a hold over Alabama than Notre Dame, one of the very few schools to hold a winning record over the Alabama Nation's head.

They used to schedule each other during regular season and they have met in meaningful post season games as well.

This is one series that could truly light up the Nielsen ratings.

That is my wish list and if you would like to add yours, please use the comment section below and let us see them.
