2011 MLB All-Star Game News for Andrew McCutchen
With Ryan Braun out of the All-Star Game for the National League, Andrew McCutchen finally got his due. After being snubbed from the All-Star Game and not even on the ballot for the Final Vote spot, McCutchen was finally added to the NL roster.
There is no doubt that this has been a tough couple weeks for McCutchen who likely thought he was a lock for an All-Star spot. However, that did not come to light and he was left disappointed. Even with the disappointment, McCutchen spoke with MLB.com about the fan support he has received,
They showed their support, not only of me but of the team. They showed that they were behind me. Before they even found out, they still felt like I was an All-Star.
Not only did fans of the Pittsburgh Pirates think he was an All-Star but so did baseball analysts and fans of the sport in general.
McCutchen is batting .292 with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs so far this season.
There is no doubt that he is having an All-Star season and he has finally earned the spot he deserves on the NL roster. McCutchen will be making his first All-Star appearance this year with the bid.
