Official: Levante Secure Arsenal Youngster Wellington on Season Long Loan

Arsenal.com have announced that Brazilian teenager Wellington will spend the entier 2011/2012 on loan with La Liga side Levante. The 18-year-old arrived from Brazilian giants Fluminese in January after impressing on trial a year prior. A strong, quick and tenaicous striker, Wellington spent January onwards on loan with Levante but failed to make an impact, managing 2 appearances due to attitude problems.

However after much negotiations, the Spanish side were eager to retain the teenagers services who is touted to become one of Europe's best strikers in the coming years. The official Arsenal website reported.

Arsenal Football Club has agreed for striker Wellington to join Spanish La Liga side Levante on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old Brazilian youth International, who joined the Gunners from Fluminese a year ago, had a successful spell with the Spanish club on loan from January this year.

Arsenal has agreed for Wellington, who featured for Arsenal XI in pre-season games against AFC Wimbledon and Boreham Wood last season, to continue to gain experience at the La Liga outfit in the forthcoming campaign.

The loan is subject to a medical later today. 

A  number of other loan spells are expected to be announced with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Gilles Sunu rumoured to be resigning on loan with French outfit Lorient FC.
