Week 10 Waiver Wire: Laurent Robinson, Carson Palmer and Fantasy Studs on Waivers

With the playoffs just a stone’s throw away, working the waiver wire now is more important than ever.

This is the time of year where people grow impatient with injured players and you can end up snagging what was a third round pick that can be back in the lineup by the time the playoffs arrive.

For those fantasy players hitting the waiver wire for spot starters, the following three studs are a must get to fill in for injuries or your sheer lack of depth.

Laurent Robinson—The Dallas Cowboys will be without star wide receiver Miles Austin for a few weeks, and you can expect new No. 2 receiver Laurent Robinson to get the bulk of the workload.

In each of the last two games, Robinson had five catches and a touchdown, and he will be getting targeted even more without Austin on the field.

Carson Palmer—The Oakland Raiders took a big risk going after former No. 1 overall pick and Cincinnati Bengals holdout Carson palmer, but in only two weeks he looks like he is starting to figure things out.

The Raiders have speedy receivers, and Palmer has to build the strength in his arm up enough to throw the ball over these players’ heads. While he had three interceptions, he had over 300 yards passing and three touchdowns to boot.

Jake Ballard—The New York Giants have always been well known for their use of tight ends in the redzone, and Jake Ballard has eased right into that role for the team this season.

Ballard has averaged four catches in each of his last four games, and his three touchdowns on the season makes him a solid start in deeper leagues.
