Jordan Crawford, the 27th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, has appeared in just 10 games for the Atlanta Hawks -- and in those games, he hasn't been extremely effective. Crawford has made just 19 of his 50 shot attempts. That's certainly a far cry from the Jordan Crawford that showed up in a huge way for the Xavier Musketeers in last year's NCAA Tournament with unlimited range, and even further from the hype that he received when he dunked on LeBron James in the summer of 2009.
Crawford's NBA shooting percentage thus far aside, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard is also behind Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, Maurice Evans and even the recently acquired Damien Wilkins on the Hawks' depth chart so far this season which has led to talks of him possibly being assigned to the NBA D-League.
"There has been some talk about it," Hawks coach Larry Drew told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We are certainly going to keep our options open with our young guys (and) putting them in situations where they can get some playing time instead of practicing every day and just being with the team. I would rather them be somewhere playing, where they are learning, where they can get some experience."
