Journeyman reliever Arthur Rhodes will play for the eighth different team of his career in 2011. The left-hander agreed to a one-year deal with the AL champion Texas Rangers Thursday, a source told FanHouse.

Rhodes' deal with Texas is pending the completion of a physical and includes a vesting contract option for 2012.

Rhodes, who has pitched for the Orioles, Mariners, Athletics, Indians, Phillies and Marlins, has spent the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds.
