Heat vs. Lakers: Closer Look at Center Matchup

Heat vs. Lakers: Closer Look at Center Matchup

The only thing that would keep this from being a huge Lakers advantage is the fact that Andrew Bynum has only played in just five games so far this year. However, Bynum played his best game of the season at Toronto on Sunday against a Raptors team with no center that can match Bynum. The Heat are in a similar position.

If Bynum were healthy I think he could score 30 points, but I don?t think he gets enough minutes to put up those kinds of numbers.

The Heat frontcourt is manned by Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Joel Anthony, and Erick Dampier. Not exactly a murderers row to slow down the Lakers.

Because of Bynum?s injury I think that Pau Gasol will start at center with Lamar Odom getting a lot of time against some of the weak centers on the Heat.

Because of the adaptability of the Lakers frontcourt, they get the advantage here. If Bynum were full strength it wouldn?t even be close.
