NBA Playoffs 2011 begins war of words between big men
Tyson Chandler and Kendrick Perkins can?t seem to get along. This should come as no surprise because no one likes either of them that much.
After last night?s Game 1 win for the Mavericks both players, who seemed to be going at it all night, had had unkind words ready.
According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com both felt the other was a dirty player.
Perkins said:
Me and Tyson never got along. I'm serious. He don't like me, I don't like him and that's pretty much how it's been. Everybody always looks at me as kind of like a dirty player if you're on the opposite team, but he's just as dirty as anybody else.
Chandler said:
I have nothing against him. He won a championship with the Boston Celtics, and that's where I'm trying to take my team. I mean, I've got respect for him, what he was able to accomplish. But all the chippy stuff, the after-the-ball stuff, that's all nonsense and I'm not going to get involved with it.

Chandler took the high road?sort of. But neither player could hide their disdain for the way they play the game.
It?s usually true you don?t like people because they exhibit traits you have. This seems to be the case with Perkins and Chandler. Both are too overly emotional cry babies. Chandler, the better defender. Perkins, the difference maker.
Both should accept that they are hated by more than one another and move forward.
The last thing anyone wants is these guys talking trash.
