WWE should rethink their stance on Orton
Fully confession: though I do a lot of WWE news on Bleacher Report, I don?t always watch SmackDown. It has its appeal at times, but with the results online days before it often negates my need to watch. However, since the redraft I?ve had a new found interest in watching SmackDown unfold and I have come to learn one thing quickly.
Randy Orton shouldn?t be the top face on that brand.
I am a big Orton fan and believe he is a great heel and a good second face. He?s a break from the goodie goodie of John Cena, but as the top guy he just doesn?t do it for me. There was a sort of charisma about Edge. Cena, love him or hate him, has that same sort of charm.

Orton is just too stiff and isn?t great with a mic. He doesn?t know how to charm an audience and he relies too much on the scripted stuff they give him. Everything he says is so generic. At least with a heel the generic works because it?s all so contrary to what you want to believe.
SmackDown has to be in the hands of a capable face and unfortunately there aren?t many. SmackDown needs to move Orton to a heel and get someone who can carry the brand.
