POTENTIAL QB SLEEPER PICK OF THE WEEK
David Garrard (Jacksonville Jaguars) vs. Houston
Garrard had an excellent game in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys, with 260 passing yards and five total touchdowns (four passing). He has been fairly inconsistent this season, but he looks likely to make it two straight strong performances this week against the Houston Texans.
Houston allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks (20.6 per game) and have surrendered three or more passing touchdowns in three of their last four games.
Garrard is a solid bye week fill-in with nice upside this week, however don't expect another five-touchdown game.
POTENTIAL RB SLEEPER PICK OF THE WEEK
Marshawn Lynch (Seattle Seahawks) @ Arizona
Lynch has just 55 rushing yards on 20 carries over the past two weeks as the Seahawks’ offense has put up all of 10 points during that span.
Week 10 brings what should be a much easier matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. In Week 7 against the Cardinals, Lynch had 24 carries for 89 yards in what is his best yardage game in four with Seattle.
Arizona has allowed 25.5 fantasy points to opposing running backs over the past two weeks, which has propelled them to allowing 21.8 points per game to the position (third-most in the league).
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Lynch get 20-plus carries against the Cardinals again this week. He should be used as a flex option despite Seattle’s offensive struggles.
POTENTIAL WR SLEEPER PICK OF THE WEEK
Jacoby Jones (Houston Texans) @ Jacksonville
Jones has six receptions for 47 yards over his past two games, but he has been targeted the second-most times among on Texans’ wide receivers in that span.
Jones a had a fairly disappointing season to this point, with 24 catches and just one touchdown, however a favorable match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week could help ease the pain for those who drafted him as their sleeper wideout.
The Jaguars have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers (27.3 per game) along with tied for the second-most touchdowns (12) to the position.
If you find yourself in a bind this week due to bye weeks or injuries, Jones is worth considering as a WR3.
