At long last, Aaron has won his big game. The Green Bay Packers have defeated their rival, the Minnesota Vikings, twice.
The pupil far outplayed the master, throwing for four touchdowns (the first four touchdown game he's ever had in the regular season), 300 yards and no interceptions.
Brett Favre threw for 200 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
With this victory, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers can finally put to rest the notion that they should have held on to Brett Favre and let Aaron Rodgers go.
Greg Jennings
Greg Jennings had a monster performance. He caught passes for over 150 yards and three, count 'em, THREE touchdowns.
With this performance, Greg Jennings is emerging as among the most elite of receivers in the game.
Tramon Williams
Give this guy his contract, ASAP.
Tramon Williams made a beautiful play by intercepting Brett Favre, and he shut down Percy Harvin.
Percy Harvin was limited to only two receptions for 12 yards.
Clay Matthews
I wish Clay Matthews would perform like he did in his first two games this season when he had over six sacks in just two games.
Still, he's bound to get a sack in just about every game, and he continues to make his case for Defensive Player of the Year.
Conclusion
The race for the crown is far from over, but the Vikings should be seen as a non-contender from here on out. Digging your way out of a 3-7 record to reach the playoffs is nearly impossible.
While the Bears have certainly gotten lucky so far this season, they continue to win games and keep the Green Bay Packers at their heels.
So long Brett—I won't be surprised to see No. 7, Tarvaris Jackson, starting next week.
