
Another week, another installment of “As the Big Ten Turns,” or as it seems as the conference projects to have a jumbled mess in the standings when it’s all said and done. Maybe the addition of a Big Ten Championship starting in 2011 wasn’t such a bad idea?
At #9, the Wisconsin Badgers lead all Big Ten teams in the most recent BCS standings followed by #11 Ohio State, #14 Michigan State and #16 Iowa. Let’s take a look at each team, including Wisconsin and speculate on how the Badgers can get back to Pasadena for the first time since 2000.

Outlook: At #9 in the BCS rankings, some would say the Badgers control their destiny en route to the Rose Bowl, but that’s not exactly the case. Hypothetically, if the Big Ten ends in a three-way tie with Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan State all at 7-1 in the conference standings, the tie-breaker would actually go to Michigan State. Here’s why; Iowa would be eliminated due to a 10-2 overall record and Michigan State has the head-to-head win over the Badgers.
