2011 NBA Mock Draft Could Look Different As Denver Nuggets Looking To Make A Move
Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl talked to the Denver Post about the NBA Draft recently and told them:
"The bottom line is we have a first-round pick that we think is going to be a pretty good player. But the possibility of maneuvering and putting yourself in position to see what else happens is I think what (team management) is going to be doing in the next 10 days."
The Nuggets have a huge hole at the power forward spot. Kenyon Martin is a free agent and isn't that good anymore anyway. That leaves only Al Harrington who's coming off his worst season since 2001.
There's no doubt where they're going to look in the draft, but at No. 22, they most likely won't find a starting caliber power forward.

The Minnesota Timberwolves want to trade away their pick at No. 20, but that's not exactly the jump the Nuggets are probably looking for. The Utah Jazz may be willing to make a deal at No. 12 since that selection would be their second of the day.
At that point, they'd have plenty of options for where'd they want to go. Denver could select Tristan Thompson, Bismack Biyombo, or one of the Morris twins.
Remember, they have a nice trading piece in Raymond Felton. The talented point will most likely be a part of any draft day trade.
