NBA Finals 2011: LeBron James' Comments About Cavaliers Were over the Line

NBA Finals 2011 finds distraction in King James? comments

LeBron doesn?t know when to leave well enough alone. As it appeared King James was turning the corner with his excellent play and his kind comments for the city of Cleveland he couldn?t help but take an inadvertent dig at his former teammates.

James said after the Bulls were eliminated by his Miami Heat:

I wanted to team up with some guys that would never die down in the moment.

Big words from a guy who looked like he forgot to show up against Boston last year in Game 5.

Daniel Gibson fired back with a shot of his own:

He might have needed some help. He might have needed to go somewhere and find someone who is a little greater so maybe he wouldn?t die down in those moments.

Gibson has every right to be upset by LeBron?s comments. It?s like every time LeBron takes a step forward he takes another step back. There was no reason to throw his teammates under the bus.

I?m sure LeBron would have chosen his words differently, but he didn?t and he?s dug another wedge between him and the city of Cleveland. If LeBron James is going to get past this he?s going to have to start thinking before he speaks.
