NBA Trade Rumors: Monta Ellis to the Memphis Grizzlies?
When Jerry West was introduced as the newest member of the Golden State Warriors front office, he hinted that he wouldn't be afraid to make a bold move.
Now, it's beginning to become very clear that Monta Ellis is the most likely member of the backcourt to be playing in a different uniform next season.
The Warriors appear ready ready to commit to the young and talented Stephen Curry as their long-term point guard, and trading Monta Ellis for some valuable pieces would help to deepen the roster.

Although Memphis owner Michael Heisley and almost every beat writer that covers the team is adamant that Rudy Gay will not be dealt, the speculation will not cease until next season begins with the veteran in a Grizzlies uniform.
One intriguing possibility, as Tim Kawakami notes, would be to ship Gay to the Warriors in exchange for Ellis. The Grizzlies previously offered O.J. Mayo in an Ellis package, but they're likely looking to get far more for their most valuable asset.
The Grizzlies could wind up having a very different look than they did last season. Between Marc Gasol's impending free agency and Gay's name popping up in almost every trade rumor out there, it's going to be an interesting summer in Memphis.
