US Open Golf 2011 TV Schedule: Rory McIlroy and Top Group Tees off at 7:55 AM

US Open Golf 2011 TV Schedule Will Catch Most Of Leader

22-year-old Rory McIlroy was virtually flawless from tee to green yesterday in the first round of the US Open, hitting every green in regulation on his way to a tremendous first round 65.

That score, his age, and the fact that his Masters collapse is so fresh in our minds, will have him in the most intense spotlight for today's second round, and most likely the rest of the tournament.

McIlroy hits the course today at 7:55 so when ESPN starts their coverage of the second round at 10 a.m. they'll catch him somewhere close to the end of his front nine. Chris Berman, Paul Azinger, Scott Van Pelt and the rest of the crew will have all of McIlroy's round and plenty more until they hand over coverage to NBC at 3 p.m.

By then, McIlory, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and a host of Tour stars will be off the course, but with Bubba Watson, Y.E. Yang, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald, Martin Kaymer and plenty of favorites not teeing off until the afternoon, NBC will have plenty to discuss during their two-hour broadcast, before they hand the telecast back over to ESPN from 5-7.
