Cavs Vs. Heat: LeBron James Tosses the Chalk In Cleveland

LeBron James took the court in Cleveland with the pregame tension at an all-time high.

With extra security surrounding the court, the visiting Heat ran out of the tunnel to begin the madness.

Compared to what was expected, his return to his former Kingdom has proved to be relatively mild thus far.

Still, it will be a long, long night for Northeast Ohio's native son.

James was greeted by a loud chorus of boos when he emerged for warm-ups, followed by profane chants that have shown no signs of dying down.

Fans loudly booed when he was introduced in the starting lineup and gave former Cavalier center Zydrunas Ilgauskas a standing ovation.

With the chants raining down from the rafters, James went through his customary pregame ritual of sending the chalk skyward.

And with that, the most anticipated regular season game in recent NBA history was underway.

He was booed the first time he touched the ball, and loudly booed when he connected on his first shot of game.

Meanwhile, the crowd has cheered madly for the home team in hopes they will inflict some pain on the hated Heat.

It should be an interesting night to say the least.

Even once his first return to Cleveland comes to an end, there are plenty reasons things could keep getting worse for LeBron.

There are 20,000 people inside Quicken Loans Arena hoping that's exactly what happens.
