Heat Coming Together After Last Week's Meeting to Clear the Air

LeBron James, Chris BoshMIAMI -- Just last week it seemed like the sky was falling over Miami after a deflating loss to the Dallas Mavericks pushed the Heat's record to just one game over .500. Rumors began swirling about coach Erik Spoelstra's job security after a players-only meeting was held immediately after the game. From the outside looking in, it certainly looked like the team was falling apart but now it's apparent the team was actually coming together.

"I think that was a much-needed meeting for us because we got an opportunity to hear each other out as men and teammates and understand what we want out of this season," said Dwyane Wade after the victory against the Atlanta Hawks pushed the Heat to a season-best five games over .500. "I think for all of us it's a better feel in the locker room away from the game but also on the basketball court we're starting to get it with each other."

Chris Bosh sought to diffuse the perceived drama that appeared to be engulfing the team last week.

"I didn't think the world was coming to an end," he said. "We knew that we lost some games that we were capable of winning. We were right there and I think we were standing in our own way."
