2011 NBA Mock Draft: Golden State Jumps at Jordan Hamilton with No. 11

NBA Mock Draft 2011 Places Jordan Hamilton With the Golden State Warriors at Pick No. 11

Hamilton has the potential to average 20 points in the NBA. He has great strength for his position and can finish strong in traffic around the basket. He has NBA-range and a lighting fast release that makes it next to impossible to block his shot.

But Hamilton does have issues with consistency and can go through some nasty cold-streaks.

He also has to change the way he lets the ball leave his hands. The nbadraft.net description of Hamilton sums it up:

"He is a scorer, but you can't categorize him as a shooter because he is still somewhat inconsistent, nor as a slasher because his ball handling still needs some tightening ? His shooting stroke is smooth and he gets good elevation but his release is off the side of the head and he tends to fade which may be the cause of some of his shooting inconsistencies."

So while Hamilton has scores of potential, the sophomore is far from NBA ready.

Good Fit or Bad Fit?

Hamilton can fit right in the run-and-gun style of the Warriors. Problem is, he is still pretty raw and the Warriors already have a roster filled with young guys with big potential.

It would be tough to sit back and let Hamilton develop while sacrificing the progress of the team for yet another season. The Warriors are better off nabbing one of the two Morris twins because of their ability to help right away.

Chances of NBA Success: 70%

If you ever watch him play you can instantly tell how smooth he is on offense. He was relied upon to carry the scoring duties for the Texas Longhorns?averaging 18.6 points a game for a team that had little help besides him.

He has the ability to be the leading scorer for his team one day, but the maturity level and focus on defense need to increase before he has the chance to do it.
