Tim Tebow has been borderline-iconic since his time of drafting a year ago.
Not only has he filled seats in Denver on Sundays, but he also garnered a ton of attention, for nothing in particular.
Whether you're a Tim Tebow hater or lover, one thing's for certain: John Elway ain't about to bite into that Tim Tebow hype.
Those "sources" we keep hearing about that come up in random sports stories are at it again, this time claiming that Tim Tebow isn't the quarterback for John Elway.
"Sources have told us a while ago they expect the Denver Broncos to draft a quarterback this year and it could be early. Many familiar with the situation told us Tim Tebow is not the quarterback for John Elway -- and with the future Hall of Fame passer calling many of the shots for the franchise a signal caller is a priority."
That's a big blow for the readers who are about to defend Tebow in any way possible.
This makes sense, though. If there's anyone who knows what it takes to be a good quarterback, it's John Friggin' Elway. Clearly, the dude didn't see those "intangibles" people are always talking about in relation to Tebow.
On the other hand, this could spark something in Tebow, igniting that competitive fire everyone raves on about.
It's been to known to happen and Tim Tebow lovers will totally be hanging onto that.
From a Broncos' standpoint, it's a good call: You already have Kyle Orton at the helm, and he's proven to be worthy of a Pro Bowl if the talent around him gets better.
But the Broncos are, for sure, looking to draft a quarterback and Colin Kaepernick is someone they're reportedly interested in.
The fact that they have a youngster behind Orton, learning the ropes, is a good thing, and having someone that John Elway can back is even better.
Either way, we'll find out come draft-time if Tebow-mania in Denver is over. Regardless, Tebow-mania amongst crazy Tebow fans has only begun.
